I Need Your Input on AutoCAD for the Apple Mac OS X

Shaan Mac and PC

I now use both an Apple Mac and a PC.

At Autodesk we are always trying to stay in tune with our customers and the industries they are in as well as their needs. So what does this have to do with a Mac, the AutoCAD product team would like your feedback and opinions in a short survey to help shape the future of the next generation of AutoCAD products for the Apple Mac OS X Operating System and hardware.

I am enrolling in a Industrial architure and design classes, I need a new computer and wat to get a Mac. Does anyone know if there are any updates if autocad will be avaialable for Mac… Any help

I was a certified Autodesk Support many years ago in my region. I use macbook pro, and my housemate whom is an engineer always wish to switch over to Mac only if they can run their Autocad software. With Mac’s strength on their OS and graphics, I find Autodesk should give it a try.

Wish I would have found this back in April so I could take the Survey. I would love to have AutoCad on OSX. More imortantly, I would love to have Revit and 3ds on OSX. If AutoCad and Revit were reseased on OSX, that would be a sure presale for me! I’m tired of switching to bootcamp all the time!

Mac versions of Autocad AND 3ds Max would make out of Autodesk our new software house…
All our system is on MAC, from appointments to client management and billing and resource management. We couldn’t keep SOME PC’s in the company just for drawing.
But I pray for Autocad on mac, because I love it. Not letting here our alternative because it’s not the point.

I own a company that has used ACAD for over 20+ years. It is the only reason I have not converted all of my computers over to OS X, a MUCH more stable, user-friendly, bug free, lower cost of ownership (OS – wise for upgrades), than Windows and day of the week. Oh, did I mention I am the certified Admin for Windows, Novell, and Linux.
As far as Windows 7 killing OS X, yeah right, what a joke. Microsoft blew it big with Vista, and they will not recover easily from this mistake. Go into any Apple store and you will find it jam packed, even in the recession. The OS X ground swell will take over Microsoft’s OS majority hold in the next 5-10 years.
AutoDesk, invest in the future now, you will not regret it.
P.S. There are many software bundles out there now that have both a Windows and an OS X version on the same disk.
