Happy New Years

Happy New YearsI hope every had a safe and great holidays and Happy New Years. The infamous Matt Murphy Clay Head Sculpture from Autodesk University 2007 is still safe and ready for action in 2008.

The past two days I have spent up in Little Cottonwood and Big Cottonwood canyons here in Utah in the 5 feet of powder snow sledding and snowshoeing with my children. Tonight after sledding in the Jordan Pines area we ended up at the Silver Fork Lodge for dinner and hot chocolate with my 6 year old daughter. The place and food is awesome and at the end my daughter said “I feel like a princess”.

Cheers,
Shaan

  1. Les Stroud is my idol. That guy is the MacGyver of the outdoors. I even tried an atttempt at recording myself on a long hike in the Southern Utah/Northern Arizona desert in November but it certainly was not a Stroud moment or caliber. Les has a blog if you are interested http://www.lesstroudonline.com/blog/.
I hope that Kenya political problems safely resolve soon for the Kenyan peoples sake and also I want to trek there in the next 3 months Stroud style. I am looking into trekking into the Maasai Mara, Ethiopia, and then into Tanzania and perhaps Madagascar.
    Cheers and Happy New Year!
