19-Jan-2008 Ten Years at Autodesk

I just looked at my company calendar and low and behold tomorrow is my 10th year anniversary working at Autodesk. I thought it was actually Monday but was wrong.

I started 19-Jan-1998. I moved from Portland Oregon where I was a mechanical designer down to the San Francisco Bay area until about 2 years ago when I moved to Northern Utah.

Time flies fast, too fast.

Congratulations. I will drink a toast in your honor.

Congratulations Shaan.
I have not made it 10 years straight anywhere yet in this industry…
4-1/2 years, then 3-1/2 years, and currently closing in on year 5 at this stop….

Hi Shaan
Happy 10th Anniversary 🙂
And to think you do not look old enough to have worked for 10 years 😉
Take care, Mike

Shaan,
Congrats on the milestone. I’m rapidly approaching my 8th anniversary, and I sometimes can’t believe all of that time has flown by already.
(okay, do I need to mention that I was preparing for my high school graduation when you started at the ‘desk?)

I want to thank everyone for the nice comments on my ten year mark at Autodesk. I also received a flood of emails.
It is hard to believe I worked in the design world then the design software world as that is a difficult transition as the cultures and process is completly different. Lord knows I did not make ten years at Autodesk by hiding in a closet and being silent. 😉
Cheers,
Shaan

TITLE: 15 Years with Autodesk
BLOG NAME: Between the Lines
It was 15 years ago today I climbed out of the mechanical design trenches as a customer and grabbed onto a speeding locomotive named Autodesk and transitioned into a world of software. That’s 105 years in dog years. Time flies when you love what you do…
