(note: I am wondering why the blackout of any recent coverage or crediting of my blog postings and news by some in the online CAD “press”, pundits, or CAD news aggregators…Perhaps they are censoring me for some obscure reason or perhaps less insidiously they just don’t have the updated RSS feed)

I received an email from a frustrated reader telling me that the AutoCAD 2009 Subscription Bonus Pack 1 had not been released, because he could not find it.
Although the subscription site can be confusing in navigation the AutoCAD 2009 Subscription Bonus Pack 1 is posted and even listed on the Autodesk subscription main landing page.
It is up and available for download on the Autodesk Subscription site as that is where I downloaded from using my customer account this morning.
It is not located in the “extensions” section. It is located when logged into subscription at:

I just checked my subscription center, and there is no ACAD Bonus pack also. It really frustrates me, when i see news that i should have something and i do not have. I’m in Estonia – is it US only?

It is currently English only but I am not sure if it appears on non-English or non-North America based. I will look into this.
Sincerely,
Shaan Hurley

I’m on the site now and do not see it under product information & downloads…
My script is for Revit arch suite 2009.
it is nomally easy to find things on the site but, it would be nice if it was more black and white.

Shelley Martin says:

Does this include using the new bonus pack with ACA2009?
Thanks in advance,
Shelley

Shelley,
The supported products for the AutoCAD 2009 Subscription Bonus Pack 1 are listed in the readme but I do not think ACA is currently supported.
Best Regards,
Shaan

I use AutoCAD MEP 2009 with Subscription. Does this mean I can’t get the Bonus Pack? When I click the “What’s New” link I can see the link for the Bonus Pack but clicking it just brings me back to the Subscription Center Main Page.

Kyron says:

Will this bonus pack be ported to the other AutoCAD verticals such as AutoCAD Mechanical & Mechanical Desktop?

Kyron,
I am not sure at this point but will ask.
Best Regards,
Shaan

AutoCAD 2009 Subscription Bonus Pack 1 can only be applied to AutoCAD 2009, AutoCAD Revit® Architecture Suite 2009, and AutoCAD Revit Structure Suite 2009. It cannot be applied to other products.
In our company we have several AutoCAD verticals, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD MEP and AutoCAD Civil 3D. It has been nice if all our AutoCAD users could benefit of the nice new feature that the subscription bonus packs provide. But I think it is not right to install it on only some verticals, so we decided to not install it at all. 🙁
It seems that AutoCAD 2009, AutoCAD Revit® Architecture Suite 2009, and AutoCAD Revit Structure Suite 2009 subscription customers get more value for money than other verticals?
