AutoCAD 2010 Install with Updates Option

I just wanted to mention if you have an Internet connection while installing your AutoCAD 2010, you will be alerted that there is an Update 1 available and can install it during the initial AutoCAD 2010.

I just wanted to mention if you have an Internet connection while installing your AutoCAD 2010, you will be alerted that there is an Update 1 available and can install it during the initial AutoCAD 2010 installation.

The installer can also point to a local network location for the Update if you have an internal location of the Update. This is nice that you don't have to install a new version and immediately afterwards install the updates separately.

  1. It would be even nicer if it didn’t lock up, ignore my picks on the Cancel button and eventually fail when used in a proxy server environment.
For future releases, it would be good if the user wasn’t forced through the configuration pages in a serial order, but rather allowed to pick on sidebar items to go to individual pages as needed. There’s a big black panel over on the left there, may as well do something useful with it! 🙂
