I was recently asked for the popular Autodesk Design Review product from Autodesk which is free and is currently Windows based, to be considered for other platforms. It appears the Autodesk Labs Team is working on some cool things and discuss the possibility of Autodesk Design Review on the Apple iPad.
Imagine performing design markups in the field with a small portable device like the iPad instead of lugging around a bulky laptop. Perhaps if developed for the iPad it could also be available as a viewer or small markup on the Apple iPhone because they share the same codebase or even a Apple Mac port.

Great idea. I’ve been doing it for years with my ThinkPad tablet PC – it’s actually smaller than the leather pad portfolio I would take out otherwise. The best part is that it uses a full OS and can use many apps.
Bluetoothed to my phone for web access makes it a true portable solution.
I’m waiting for that Autocad version which can be used in ipad to make drawing and that tooo very eagerly………..gr8 idea
Hi Shaan,
It looks like Scott has posted the results of his queries on Autodesk Design Review on the Ipad: http://bit.ly/crE8Uc
Some pretty interesting reactions – We’re all looking forward to further innovations from Apple & Autodesk!
