Still Have a Question?
Ask it in our forums:

The most common issues I have seen is people using older Mac hardware that is not supported and listed in the System Requirements listing hardware provision versions. General rule of thumb is Apple hardware in the last year as we needed the hardware upgrades from Apple for AutoCAD for Mac graphics.

I’m really questioning Autodesk’s ability to produce software on the Mac platform. Unsupported Graphics card?

I do not believe this for a second, you could have made AutoCAD run on older hardware, look at some of the alternative CAD programs that run on it: ArchiCAD and Draftsight come to mind immediately. Then there is 3D rendering that runs great on older Macs (including those with Intel Graphics cards), such as Blender. And highly detailed photo editing, such as Aperture. All Adobe products work great on these machines as well, which are also more graphic intensive than AutoCAD. There are also BIM tools that run natively on the older Macs and work great too.
Considering that many of the highly graphic intensive programs are free or substantially less expensive than AutoCAD and run on older hardware (some even run on Power PC machines), I also have to question Autodesk’s ability to produce software on the Mac platform. I hope that this issue gets addressed in the first update.

Wow. Just WOW. Most of the productive features are NOT YET AVAILABLE? No Design Center? No Dynamic Block editing? No Sheet Set Manager? Missing Express Tools? Missing Layer Tools?
