I just started using AUTOCAD 2011 on my Mac and can’t find the export option for FBX? It is not one of the options listed. Am I doing something wrong?
Cameron,
FBX export is not currently included in the first version if AutoCAD for Mac in 18 years. For a list of feature differences between AutoCAD for Mac and the PC version of AutoCAD see http://bit.ly/b8Brnq .

Guess what? just updated to OS 10.6.6 and installed the first Autodesk update for Autocad for Mac and the thing don’t run for 30 secs straight…
Not sure of the reason perhaps something else was occuring in the background after update or files migrating or indexing. Does it run fine now?
Best Regards,
Shaan
I have a proble with the selection. In autocad for windows, when I select, I click on the screen, then I drag to specify the second corner, while on Mac,I click but the selection window is too fast and I have to hold the righ click all the time to specify the opposite end. Anybody knows how to fix that on Autocad for Mac 2011? Thanks!!
Yes I agree it can be too fast. I will pass this feedback onto the team.

I received a solution and explanation from the AutoCAD for Mac Team. That was super FAST service!
This behavior was changed to be in line with most Mac and Windows applications, but definitely noticeable to those that have used AutoCAD for years. To change the behavior change the AutoCAD system variable PICKDRAG to 0.

How do you plot to a pdf so I can quickly print/email scaled drawings using autocad for mac?
Tom,
You would print it the same as AutoCAD for Windows. Just select the Save As PDF option in the Save dropdown menu or print/plot and output PDF or PDF. Once printed to a PDF file use you email software to send it.
You could also use the AutoCAD WS and allow others you select to view your drawing free online in precision wihtout installing anything. To do this select the Save online and use the web or mobile client for AutoCAD WS.
Within AutoCAD for Mac is an Upload Drawing Online option in the File menu that allows you to work with anyone anywhere. Uploaded drawing files can be viewed without AutoCAD for Mac using AutoCAD WS or AutoCAD WS Mobile. AutoCAD WS is a web based client that is accessible from a web browser, while
There is also the free AutoCAD WS Mobile is a native iOS application for the Apple® iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. You can collaborate with customers and clients without needing to send paper drawings, be in the same room, or install something to be able to edit and markup DWG files. With the web based client, you can even share drawings and work with another person in real-time to edit, markup, or discuss a design.
To sign-in or create an AutoCAD WS account, go to: http://www.autocadws.com
AutoCAD WS Mobile for iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch can be downloaded by visiting the App Store.
Thank you,
Shaan
