On August 21st this blog will celebrate it’s tenth year of continuously blogging. I am not sure how many blogs make it this far being active, but I wouldn’t imagine it is too large of a pool. Over the next month I will cover some highlights and some reflection on the 10 years and some tips for other bloggers of what to do and not do.

I apologize in advance for being a grammar Goon, but it is tenth anniversary. X-year anniversary is redundant, like irregardless. (anni-Latin for “year”, versa-Latin for “to turn”.) You said “ten year year turning”. The worst case of this I remember was back in ’06 when an announcer on NPR announced the “Hundred Year Centennial Anniversary” of the Great San Francisco Earthquake. (Translated from Latin – “Hundred year hundredth yearly year turning”)
Guilty as charged of not knowing that obscure grammar rule. Luckily most will understand what I meant as this grammar rule is broken more than it is observed.
