The industry needs more cooperation on interoperability like this from vendors on data formats and use of open formats and cloud exchange options to prevent the loss of productivity, translation errors, and needless rework. I have been told by large AEC firms that re-doing files or translating files account for a significant cost to their businesses. This is good to see announced, and lets see how it is implemented.
