I came across this great reminder from Darren Flynn on LinkedIn today.
“No one remembers if you were late. Everyone remembers if you were wrong.”
That’s the truth in engineering. Deadlines can move. Mistakes last forever.
In our world, a missed date might frustrate a project manager for a week or a month. But a design flaw, a bad call, or something unsafe can follow you for a lifetime. When you sign your name, you’re not just meeting a schedule. You’re standing behind your work. You’re saying, “I did this right.”
Deadlines fade. Failures don’t.
