Autodesk University is the premier and most widely attended, highest rated, and successful CAD event in the world. After this years AU 2004 in Las Vegas in just about 2 weeks, the next location AU will be held will not be Las Vegas.
Don’t get me wrong the past few years of holding AU in Vegas was fun and was reasonably priced for flights and a wide variety of entertainment but change is good. We used to hold AU in a different city each year and in fact we tried four regional AUs a few years back (Boston, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco) and that was real tiring for those of us that attended or taught at all four but it was not as large as a single location.
Well next AU 2005 is rumored to be held on the East Coast of the United States next time around. I would mention the location but will wait until it is formally announced. I am really excited about the location.
