AutoCAD 2010 Webcast Behind the Scenes

This week I had the pleasure of traveling here to San Francisco to attend a special Autodesk event. Autodesk invited several AutoCAD 2010 codenamed “Gator” beta testers who were also AutoCAD bloggers to attend the AutoCAD 2010 webcast backstage and also meet with members of the AutoCAD Team for a action packed day.

AutoCAD 2010 Backstage PassThis week I had the pleasure of traveling here to San Francisco to attend a special Autodesk event. Autodesk invited several AutoCAD 2010 (codenamed “Gator”) beta testers who were also AutoCAD bloggers to attend the AutoCAD 2010 webcast backstage and also meet with members of the AutoCAD Team for an action packed day. There were many meetings to discuss their feedback on what they liked, did not like, and what they would like to see in the future. There were some great presentations from Guri Stark, Eric Stover, Guillermo Melantoni on Autodesk and the future of AutoCAD. The webcast kicked off at noon with Amar Hanspal, Eric Stover and a live AutoCAD 2010 product demonstration of some of the key new features by Heidi Hewett. It was a great experience but I sure don't feel comfortable seeing myself on camera or photos.

  1. I suppose I should kick myself for not getting my lazy ### going and starting a blog yet.
‘sOK, I’ll see you all again in December…
Meanwhile, I must say that this was a good idea for the Desk. ^^5 to whoever came up with it.
You’re getting the 2010 word out in a whole different genre. We users may be ho-hum or even distrusting of press releases and commercials, but we trust the peeps who write our favorite blogs. Especially if we’ve been lucky enough to meet the majority of them.
And by picking beta testers as well, you get bloggers who have tried 2010 out already – on their own – and cared enough to do so.
And you didn’t just select the sweet-talkers, either.
