This fun adventurous event will be held again this year. We will be exploring and photographing the colorful desert and surrounding areas. Four states covered over the week including Nevada, California, Arizona, and Utah.
I have setup up an online form to gather interested people. This will be a free event but there will be a request to pitch in to those driving fellow shutterbugs for fuel and any tolls. Sign Up Form

Hi Shaan,
The dates don’t match . . .
What was I thinking. 😉
Correcting the dates. Thank you.
When you go to Zion NP try to first hit it late in the day and then again in the morning. The sun will hit the one side of the canyon in the afternoon and then the other in the morning. The pics you get are unbelievable! One of my favorite parks!

Bill, You are absolutely right. Early morning or twilight are the times to shoot that park and others. The red sandstone and rock starts to glow contrasting with the pinks and purples above the horizon and lowering.
So many go out midday but that is the worst time to shoot photos in the Southwest. Valley of Fire is another stunning locations near sundown.
I would like to put this out there that I will be coming in to Vegas Friday night and as of now plan on driving to Death Valley Sat morning. If anyone is interested in joining me send me an email at.
