Autodesk University 2025 wrapped up in Nashville last month, but I haven’t had my blog here working for 3 weeks to migrate off of Typepad. This was my 32nd AU and my first attending as a customer instead of an Autodesk employee.
Highlights
• Leadership Forum centered on AI and the future of APIs
• Expo Hall was buzzing, and I enjoyed serving as a Global eTraining Ambassador and sending people to their booth. The GeT crew brought energy, lime green hats and western shirts, and Canadian maple cookies. Latest Press Releases and Announcements for Global eTraining
• Keynotes and sessions covered AEC and Civil topics with big crowds in some and open seats in others
• Receptions on Broadway stood out, especially Topcon, NewForma, and GeT’s event with nearly 1,000 attendees
• Closing party at Bridgestone Arena where Neon Trees opened (and singer had a mild tantrum on stage) and Train stole the show with classics and an incredible cover of Hotel California
• Weekend trip with my wife to Leipers Fork for music, distillery tours, and cottages next to country music legends’ properties
The best part was reconnecting with friends, customers, and colleagues including celebrating Donnia “CADMama” Tabor-Hanson’s final AU before retirement.
It was a great week of learning, networking, and fun. Word is AU may return to Las Vegas next year and I will be watching for the confirmation.
