Two major problems were identified and resolved by analyzing these files, underscoring their value in managing CAD software effectively.
This blog post explains how to convert Autodesk Civil 3D drawings for users with basic AutoCAD or older versions. Key methods include using EXPORTC3DDRAWING for simple output, ETRANSMIT for complete project packages, and EXPORTTOAUTOCAD for quick 2D views. These techniques ensure compatibility and prevent issues with missing geometry.
Autodesk's Customer Error Reports (CER) are crucial for CAD Managers to diagnose crashes effectively. These reports, generated post-crash, provide insights into system information and usage patterns. Local access to CER data can help identify issues, improve reliability, and enhance productivity. Future visibility may empower administrators to track trends and proactively address problems.
To improve AutoCAD performance, regularly clean the %TEMP% folder where temporary files accumulate. To do this, close AutoCAD and other applications, open Windows Explorer using Windows + R, type %temp%, and delete visible files. Regular cleaning, ideally weekly or monthly, enhances speed, reliability, and reduces potential crashes or corruption.
